I'm so pumped to see you achieve your physical goals for the year. I think so many of us tend to separate body and mind, but with each passing year, I'm seeing how intertwined they truly are. Feeling strong in your body means your mind is also lifted (excuse the pun) and maybe even a little calmer. I'll be cheering you on from the virtual sidelines. :D
Thanks so much, Claire! So glad we got to catch up the other day, and super excited for your goals of doing well in nursing school and fostering connections with friends! I'm still in awe that you dissected a fetal pig in your living room 😱
Thanks Charlie! Wouldn't have ever considered it if it weren't for your insights on physical and mental toughness. Now, the eternal question of how to train without becoming attached to the outcome...
OOF, that quote about your child needing to run from a crazed gunman. I was starting to think other parents weren't as bothered as I am about rising school shootings.
Also, I appreciate what you said about weightlifting reminding you you can still do hard things on days where you question your abilities as a writer. Thanks for sharing.
Definitely not just you, Heidi! But also, I think a lot of parents are overwhelmed, and struggle to get through the week, let alone think about an event that may or may not happen. School district security resources are scant even for well-off municipalities, and teachers and admin have *so much* they deal with on a day-to-day basis. It's a multi-faceted problem that is definitely another post for another day. Thanks for stopping by!

Awesome. Sounds like a great combination of goal, practice, and purpose!

Awww... That makes my day. But you put in the work!
Also, great plate btw.
Thanks! The Rogue stuff is so good.
The best! My latest addition to the home gym is a slam ball. Such a good time.
Love me a slam ball! Matt’s been talking about getting battle ropes, which are my absolute nemesis. Someday!
You’re amazing and I love this plot twist for you!
Thanks friend! And congratulations on surviving Sickpocalypse?! I hope you're in the midst of planning your birthday escape!
I think we’re finally getting through it 🫠 allegedly Ben is planning something 🤔
