The amount of growth to be able to both understand and be able to make a stand against the comparison game is huge. And being able to unravel the generational trauma imbedded in your very makeup? Hard and amazing work.

Your prompts have given me some pause and thought..

Thank you! 💕 Always more barriers to move through, but it's definitely a start.

I loved this story...and I’ve also bookmarked the Instant Pot recipe! I adore mine but tend to make the same three recipes ad nauseum. (Aaand now I’m hungry.)

Enjoy! I hear you, it's hard to find an IP recipe that's well-seasoned and doesn't require you to mess with the vent 392058 times 😂

Good stuff, Sophia. That comparison trap is gradually losing its hold on me. Your experience with your parents is enlightening. I can only imagine the first-chakra insecurities of refugees. Hugs, Jim

I want to hug cookie claus! 💙💙 Sesame Street came to our local science museum a few years ago and I loved it wayyy more than our kids and was mostly just smiling and crying through the whole thing. 🤣 I love that K is a friend, and sounds like a wonderful human - and your kindness & empathy towards your parents and their experiences is so beautiful ❤️‍🩹

Thank you Lindsey ❤️ My daughter loved it, and I will definitely be heartbroken when she grows out of Sesame Street. It's probably too young for your kids, but the Sesame Street guided sleep meditations on Headspace are also adorable.
